Terminal Groups

Terminal groups are used when routing control is needed based on where the order originated from (based on the terminals configured and added to a terminal group within the site configuration).

Adding New Terminal Groups

Follow these steps to add a new terminal group:

  1. Click Add

  2. Enter the following details, Name

  3. Click Save

The allocation of terminals to groups is managed against each site individually allowing for different configurations to be applied on a site by site basis (allowing the same configuration template to be applied to multiple sites)

Zonal recommend using Terminal Groups in configurations that need to control certain items being presented to screens - for simple operations this might not be required and is an optional feature

For example:

  • A drinks dispense screen is being used and orders placed at the bar do not need to be shown on screen because they are made immediately by the bar team

  • Orders from certain areas of the site (based on terminal) need to be sent to different areas for preparation
