What's New

The following new features have been introduced in this version of FreedomPay.

Feature Description
Incorporating latest version of Antonio 4.0.12

This feature incorporates latest version of Antonio 4.0.12. It contains two major bug fixes:

  • Improvement to response time when PED roams between APs while in use

  • Reduction of some cases of Antonio 'auto-void' behaviour

Support Move 5000 connected via FCC

This feature supports the ability to connect a Move devices via FCC. It allows the customer to make use of the Pay at Counter functionalities such as pre-authorisation and customer not present transactions which is currently not supported on Move devices connected via Antonio.

There are some differences when using the Move 5000 with FCC

  • Cashback prompt is done on the PED (in UAT it shows $ currency signs on the cashback options)

  • Signature check is done on the PED itself by signing on the touchscreen (e.g. when using a ICC + Signature or non-chip card)

  • The physical device printer will not print receipts for transactions. All printing will be printed by the POS printer setup in Aztec (as with a Lane 3000 device)

  • The device home screen is "Secured by FreedomPay" instead of "Sign in to Begin"

FreedomPay Pennies Support for Pay at Counter

This feature supports the ability to take donations via prompt on the Pay at Counter devices only. This includes configuration in the Product Structure and Estate Set up within Aztec settings. Customers have the flexibility to choose the donation settings as follows:

  • Minimum transaction amount

  • Type of donation mode

By default the donation prompt will remain disabled unless changes in the Aztec settings are done and a Pennies Merchant ID is created.

Please note there is an issue with the donation prompt wherein if the donation prompt times out (default time out ~ 90 secs) , it cancels the transaction on the POS but guests could still progress with the transaction on the device. If they do, the transaction is shown as approved on the device but a void request is sent from POS. The transaction will be shown as 'Pending' in the guests bank statement and the transaction amount could be ring-fenced till released by specific acquirer.
We are currently working with FreedomPay to resolve the issue. It is at the discretion of the customer to enable the functionality with the known issue.
