Prioritse Orders

During service operations there can be certain orders that might need to be prioritsed so that they are prepared before other orders that are already in progress. There are three options which can be used (depending on configuration):

  • Manual Prioritse - handled directly on screen through the menu

  • Order Destination - certain destinations might be configured to automatically be prioritsed

  • Instructional Message from the Aztec POS terminal or iServe device

You might need to prioritse an order because:

  • Items were missed on the original order and need to expedited quickly

  • The order is for a VIP and should come before others

  • It is for a special type of order, for example Take Away / To Go and has a set time for collection

Any order prioritsed will always go to the top of any active orders, if there are existing priority orders these will go in order of being prioritsed

Manual Prioritse

Follow these steps to prioritse a ticket with a bump bar:

Bump Bar: Press the Order Up / Down buttons to navigate to the order to prioritse

Bump Bar: Press the Menu button

Bump Bar: Use the Item Down button until Prioritse Order is selected

Bump Bar: Press the Bump button

The ticket will be prioritsed

Follow these steps to prioritse a ticket with touchscreen:

1   Touchscreen: Tap the order to print
2 Touchscreen: Tap the Prioritse button

Instructional Message

Follow these steps to prioritse a ticket with instructional message:

This feature will only work if a text rule has been created to prioritse orders or a message action has been added for prioritsed orders
Zonal recommends having a preset instruction which defines priority / VIP / rush orders

Tap Save / Send - Kitchen iQ will automatically prioritse the order

Order Destinations

If configured any order destinations will automatically prioritse orders and display the priority indicator icon.
