Staff & Security

The staff and security section enables per settings and configurations on a per site basis.

Settings

The following table outlines each setting and its corresponding functionality.

Setting Description Additional Information
Site Payroll Settings
Generate Payroll at Site

When enabled payroll numbers will be automatically generated for any new users added at site

 
Number of Sequential Digits

The length of the payroll number

 
Payroll Number Seed

The starting number of the payroll number

 
Allow Deletion of Shifts

When enabled shifts recorded in Time & Attendance (where POS operators have clocked in / out) can be deleted

 
Start of Week

Drop down to define the start day of week day for all staff and security related activities

By default the setting configured in Base Data → Estate Structure → Company Settings → Staff & Security will be used but if an alternative day is specified the site setting will become the default

Site User Settings
ESL Maximum Length

The maximum number of characters that can be used for the ESL identifier

ESL - would refer to the Dallas Key or Card Swipe being used to identify on the point of sale terminal

These settings ensure that during onsite operations the correct number values are entered

ESL Minimum Length

The minimum number of characters that can be used for the ESL identifier

ESL - would refer to the Dallas Key or Card Swipe being used to identify on the point of sale terminal

Two Step Front of House Login

When enabled the POS operator will be required to enter a passcode as well as either their ESL identifier or PIN code

Additional settings are for the configuration of two step login are managed in Base Data → Estate Structure → Estate Settings → Staff & Security

Employee Import Settings
Employee Import in Use

When employees are imported into Staff & Security two options are available

  • Aztec XML

  • Fourth People Service

This setting defaults to 'None'

When using the Fourth People Service additional configuration must be completed in Base Data → Application Setting → External Import Details
