What's New

The following new features have been introduced in this version of Verifone Cloud Services.

Feature Description

Pay at Counter - Initiate Payment on POS and complete the transaction on a PED

Ability to initiate the payment on the POS and complete either a part or full payment on the device. The transaction can be completed by Chip & Pin, Contactless or Swipe, with optional Tip capability (if configured using VCS portal).

Pay at Counter - Reverse or Void a Payment on the PED via POS

Ability to reverse/ void in-venue payments on the device via POS to reimburse the customer on a transaction that has not been settled and return funds to the cardholder's account.

Pay at Counter - Dynamic currency conversion (DCC)

 

DCC is a convention where the merchant can use their chosen currency conversion service rather than leaving the conversion to be done by the card issuer. When a card is presented and the card account uses a different currency to the merchant, there is an option for DCC.

Pay at Counter- Add Tips/ Gratuity on the PED

Ability for a customer to add a tip/ gratuity amount to the transaction as part of the PED flow. This is enabled or disabled through Aztec settings, and suggested tips can be configured through VCS portal.

Pay at Counter- Split the Payment for an account into Multiple Transactions

Ability for a server to split the bill for one account into either an equal amount (covers at the table), or a custom amount for each guest. When concluded, the account will be auto close on the POS.

Pay at Counter- Adding Cashback

Ability for the server to add cashback to the transaction when requested by the guest and supported by the payment card, this is also configurable through VCS portal.

Pay at Counter- Refund a Payment on the PED Via POS

Ability for the server to refund a guest onto either the same card or a different card from the original card used at the time of making the payment.

Pay at Table - Take Payment from a Customer without Interacting with POS

Ability to pull a transaction to a PED without first interacting with a POS, and complete either the transaction in part or in full. The transaction can be completed by Chip & Pin, Contactless or Swipe, with optional Tip capability (if configured through the VCS portal).

Pay at Table- Optional Customer Receipt Printing

 

Ability to configure optional customer receipt printing from Aztec, allowing servers using a PED to print receipts or not as desired.

The PED must have a printer to use this functionality.

This feature is also supported for T650P when using it in a Pay At Counter mode.

Pay at Table - Printing Bill via PED

Ability for the server to print a bill during a pay at table payment.

The PED must have a printer to use this functionality.

Push to PED- Refund a Payment on the PED Via POS

Ability for the server to refund a guest using Push to PED onto either the same card or a different card from the original card used at the time of making the payment.

Push to PED- Reverse or Void a Payment on the PED via POS

Ability to reverse/ void in-venue payments on the device via POS using push to PED to reimburse the customer on a transaction that has not been settled and return funds to the cardholder's account irrespective of the device mode.

The PED must have a printer to use this functionality.

This feature is also supported for T650P when using it in a Pay At Counter mode.

Update the build with the latest version 3.64.2 of VCS

This feature updated the build with the latest software version available.

Pay at Counter - Support for P630 device

This feature provides support for P630 device.

Add logging of payment metadata for Bink

This feature adds support for the sites to continue to use third party loyalty solution and receive all the date when earlier using the older Bink solution.
