How To - Tables Footer
The Tables Footer displays two tabs that allow you to adjust the information displayed on screen. It can also display an optional red warning dialog that is displayed when tables become free.
Using the Select Option
The Select option makes it quicker and easier to apply certain actions to more than one customer at the same time.
- Select the Wait List or Reservations tab.
- Choose Select.
- Round check-boxes are displayed alongside each customer in the Wait List:
- The Select options are displayed at the bottom of the screen:
- Select the customers you want to include in the bulk action or select ALL to select every customer.
- Select the action you want to perform:
- Send SMS – (send the customer a predefined message). Select the required message from the drop-down list and select Send. (If the gateway is down, this option is disabled.)
- Cancel – (cancel a reservation). Select Cancel again to confirm. The Cancel option can be disabled by Brand admin users. If disabled, the Cancel option is not displayed for customers who have been seated or marked down as arrived.
- No-Show – (customer did not appear). Select No-Show again to confirm.
- Delete – (entry was a user error). Select Delete to permanently remove a reservation. You cannot delete online reservations or reservations that have already been seated - you can only delete reservations from the Wait List and Reservations windows. Deleting entries must only be used for user errors because it removes all trace of the customer. The ability to allow reservations to be removed is controlled at brand level.
If PIN authorisation is enabled, after cancelling, no-showing or deleting a reservation, you will be prompted to enter your authorisation PIN and select OK. The chosen action is carried out for all selected customers.
Using the Filter
The Filter tab allows you to reduce the number of items displayed in the Wait List and the Reservations tab by hiding certain information .
Wait List - Show or hide all cancelled and no-show customers.
- Reservations – Show or hide no-shows and cancellations and course details
Press Hide / Show to adjust the information in the customer list as required. When configured at head office, a red warning dialogue is displayed in the footer to update users when tables come available that are suitable for guests that are on the Wait List.
Users can click through to the guest queue or close the dialogue as appropriate.
A warning is also displayed if a change is made to the table plan.
