How To - Banking


Depending on your cash policy you may need to carry out banking on a daily basis. You may also have a policy to bank down to a zero amount, bank down to a float or just bank notes that you have.


To perform banking:

  1. Log on to Aztec and select the Finance module icon.

  2. From the front page select the Cash Management tab and choose Banking from the dropdown list.


  3. You can also access the Banking option via the quick links on the Finance module front page.


  4. Select Add Banking


  5. Enter the reference for the banking. This is typically your paying in slip number but could be any number your organisation wishes to use.

  6. Enter the total of the banking. This will be the Total Available to Bank figure, minus the house float. This will bring the cash on site back down to the original float amount.

  7. Confirm the banking by entering your password (or entering a counter signatory) and selecting Finish.


The completed banking is now visible on the Less Actual Banking line on both Daily Summary and the 7 Day Statement of Trade. A banking can also be edited or deleted if required provided that the daily sign off has NOT been completed. .
