Reservation Check-Out Lock

There are many ways to edit a reservation after a guest is checked out, however, we have now reduced these to two single journeys. The journeys are:

Adding a new product - to increase the price

Adding a discount - to reduce the price

Furthermore, when a new sale or discount is added to a reservation after it has been checked out, the ‘sale date’ will be recorded as the date of application.

This update will affect functionality in the following areas of your system:

  1. Calendar

  2. Booking hub

  3. Edit booking Button

Group Cancellation / No Show Bi Report

We have added a new Power BI dashboard allowing you to report on cancellations and no-shows. Quickly see how much revenue and bookings are lost across your whole estate (or you can drill down to just one site with one click!)

Instantly compare your cancellation and no-shows across all your hotels, and track the highest offending properties and channels with a day-to-day or month-to-month comparison.

Minor Updates & Enhancements

We have also released several minor updates that affect the following areas:

  • Guest Invoices - Covid VAT message was removed from all guest invoices

  • Express check-in - Minor updates and enhancements

  • Booking importer - Additional validation to prevent import errors

  • Calendar Blocks - Minor updates and enhancements to prevent failures

 

Vouchers

Vouchers have had a 2023 makeover. HLS vouchers will be more powerful than ever, allowing you to incentivise your customers to book via your website rather than your third-party channels. Below are some highlights from the update:

  • A call to action link to share on social media and mail shots - allowing your customers to be directed to your booking engine with the voucher pre-applied

  • Prices affected by the voucher will now display with a strike-through, allowing the customer to see their discount before they book

  • Vouchers can now be linked to corporations - allowing you to set up your corporation rates easily and send out the discount code to be used on your booking engine directly

  • Vouchers now appear in a drop down list for internal staff members, making it easier for them to apply
