'Add to Wallet' Buttons in Balance Widget

What problem are we trying to solve?

 

Now that we have implemented Pass Creator (the ability to create Loyalty Card pass templates) and the option to include the Add to Wallet buttons in emails being sent to guests newly being enrolled and registered, we have taken a significant step forward in our mission to provide a truly digital first Loyalty solution to customers and their guests. However, we identified with the last release that a gap remained in terms of allowing guests who already had a loyalty card the option to add that existing card to their Apple or Google wallet (as they wouldn't receive the Registration or Enrolment emails).

 

Solution

 

We have addressed the gap in this release by facilitating the ability to include the Add to Wallet buttons in the Balance Widget. In the Widget Configuration page in Loyalty, we have added an option in the 'Balances' tab (as the first screen shot shows) to allow customers to display the Add to Wallet buttons in the Widget. Once this is checked, guests logging into their Balance Widget will see both Apple and Google add to wallet buttons (as the second screen shot shows) and if viewing the widget on a compatible device, will be able to add their Loyalty card to their wallet as they would when receiving a Registration or Enrolment email.
